As the President of the Oregon SW Washington Chapter of the US Naval Academy Alumni Association I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of you on your commissioning as Officers in the Navy or Marine Corps. While your graduation differs somewhat from past graduations, it still represents a significant achievement for which you and your family should be justly proud. Few graduations are ever remembered by other than the participants but yours will always be,
You all are embarking on the adventure of a lifetime as an officer in the Armed Forces of the United States. There is no greater calling than to be in the service of our country. We alumni, of which you are members, wish you well and welcome you to our society. No matter where you may be serving, please remember that whenever you are back here in Oregon, you are MOST WELCOME to join us in our Chapter activities!
